Pierre Crom, dass „es vielleicht interessanter wäre, die Ergebnisse ihrer politischen Entscheidungen zu verfolgen, anstatt
Propaganda für Politiker zu machen“. Im Februar 2014 reist er mit einem One-Way-Flugticket auf die Krim in der Ukraine, einen
Tag vor deren Annexion durch Russland. Von da an findet er sich inmitten eines schnell eskalierenden Konflikts wieder und
beschließt zu bleiben. Kriegsbeginn in Slowjansk, Absturz des Flugzeugs MH17, Panzergefecht in Debalzewe und russische Grossinvasion
am 24.2.2022 – ihm gelingt der Zugang zu den wichtigsten historischen Stationen dieses Krieges. Als Fotograf hatte Pierre
“Glück". Als Mensch musste er sich jedoch gewalttätigen Ereignissen in einem Ausmaß stellen, das er sich zuvor nie hätte vorstellen
können.

In February 2014, he travelled with a one-way plane ticket to Crimea in Ukraine, one day before its annexation by Russia.
From then on, he finds himself in the midst of a rapidly escalating conflict and decides to stay. The start of the war in

- he succeeds in gaining access to the most important historical stages of this war. As a Pierre was "lucky" as a photographer.
As a human being, however, he had to confront violent events on a scale extent that he could never have imagined before.
