Monireh Sadat Hosseini, known as Darya, was born blind but regained limited sight after a pilgrimage
to Mashhad, which her mother believes was a miracle. A bright and determined girl, Darya dreams of becoming president despite
facing prejudice from those who see her blindness as divine punishment. Now 23, she has embraced her condition with peace
and strength. Fluent in 17 languages, Darya has independently traveled to eight countries, using her passion for poetry, art,
and human connection to inspire others. Her resilience and optimism make her a symbol of empowerment for people with disabilities
worldwide.
Monireh Sadat Hosseini, kurz: Darya, wurde blind geboren, erlangte jedoch nach
einer Pilgerreise nach Mashhad ihr Sehvermögen teilweise zurück, was ihre Mutter als Wunder betrachtet. Darya ist ein kluges
und entschlossenes Mädchen, das davon träumt, Präsidentin zu werden, obwohl sie mit Vorurteilen konfrontiert ist, ihre Blindheit
sei eine göttliche Strafe. Heute ist sie 23 Jahre alt und hat sich mit ihrem Zustand abgefunden. Darya spricht 17 Sprachen
fließend und hat acht Länder auf eigene Faust bereist, wobei sie ihre Leidenschaft für Poesie, Kunst und zwischenmenschliche
Beziehungen nutzt, um andere zu inspirieren. Ihre Widerstandsfähigkeit und ihr Optimismus machen sie weltweit zu einem Symbol
für Selbstermächtigung.
